Japan Today Reports iPod mini Waiting Time at 6 Weeks

The iPod mini is still red hot in Japan, according to a report today in Japan Today. The newspaper reports that the waiting time for the iPod mini is still at 6 weeks as Apple tries to meet demand. From the article.

People interested in owning the credit card-size gadget are waiting an average of four to six weeks for it to be delivered to them.

Yoshiaki Sakito, vice president of Apple Computer, said global sales of the iPod mini, which hit stores in the United States in March and elsewhere July 24, have exceeded the companyis goals and that Apple has increased production of the device in Taiwan and China.
