Native Instruments announced the immediate availability of KONTAKT Player 2 on Wednesday. KONTAKT is a sound sample-based instrument player. The new version generates highly authentic emulations of real acoustic instruments, drums and percussion instruments, synthesizers, and more. The first instruments for the new KONTAKT Player include Stradivari Solo Violin, Chris Hein Guitars, and OTTO, an electronic sound workstation. Pricing for KONTAKT Player 2 is based on the instrument libraries it is included with.
