Kinemac announced on Friday that it will release version 1.5 of its 3-D, real-time animation software at Macworld. The new version adds many new features, including:
- Move objects along a 3-D path
- Backgrounds with gradient and transparency
- Master volume control
- Multiple views
- Group multiple windows into one
- Custom backgrounds with image or movie
- Multitexturing
Kinemac is an animation and presentation application that allows the user to create professional 3-D animations with the ease of 2-D tools. Using drag-and-drop, users can import images, text, movies, and songs onto the Kinemac "stage" to get them into the animation. Then apply surface attributes such as color, transparency, and reflection. The Kinemac Website has a gallery of animation demos to showcase the capabilities of the product.
Kinemac is a Universal application. The upgrade to version 1.5 is free. Kinemac 1.x is priced at US$249.00.
