Kyocera Adds iPod-Colored Cameras

Kyocera Corp. announced Thursday it will release its popular Finecam SL400R digital camera in five colors similiar to those of Appleis iPod mini, but will sell the new models only on Appleis Japanese-based online store and through Appleis Ginza retail store, in an exclusive partnership.

The Japanese-based company said the five models (see photo below) will be available very soon in silver, gold, blue, pink and green colors at around ?44,000, or US$402.


Kyocera is tying the popularity of colored iPod miniis to its slim-line SL400R digital camera line.

The SL400R is a four megapixel CCD digital camera offering a f/2.8 3x zoom lens and a 1.5-inch DayFine LCD display/viewfinder that makes it easy to shoot and review your images in even the brightest sunlight. The camera weighs 4.4 ounces and measures 3.9" W x 2.5" H x 0.6" D .
