LapWorks Announces Aluminum Desktop Stand

LapWorks Inc. announced on Thursday their new Aluminum Desktop Stand the elevates a notebook computer to eye level and also dissipates heat.

"The sleek laptop stand features 6 easy-to-adjust elevated positions. The shorter 3 elevations raise the notebook screen by 3 ?, 4, or 4 3/8 inches and angle the notebookis keyboard to improve typing ergonomics. The 3 steeper inclines raise the screen 6, 6 ?, or 6 ? inches closer to eye level to create an ergonomically-sound desktop workstation when using a separate keyboard," the announcement said.


Aluminum Desktop Stand

The stand, which weighs 1 pound 5 oz (0.6 kg), is made of aluminum. A thermal study conducted by the California Polytechnic University at Pomona concluded that a computer placed on the stand ran an average of 27F cooler (88F compared to 115F), according to LapWorks.

The Aluminum Desktop Stand is priced at an introductory US$59.95 and is available immediately.
