Proteron LLC has released an update for LiteSwitch X, bringing it to version 2.1. LiteSwitch X is a keyboard utility designed for app switching in OS X. The maintenance update fixes Panther support issues. According to Proteron LLC:

Proteron LLC today announced an update to its popular application switcher, LiteSwitch X.

Since its release in June 2002, LiteSwitch has become the most popular alternative to the Dock for keyboard application switching under Mac OS X.

The new version 2.1 addresses several compatibility issues with Appleis Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther).

Proteron today also released a public memo to Apple Computer regarding Appleis assimilation of third party software into the Mac OS. Although a similar-looking feature is integrated into Mac OS 10.3, Proteron was not involved or credited in any way for the feature. Proteron remains committed to its LiteSwitch X customers and will continue to develop and improve on LiteSwitch X.

You can find more information about the LiteSwitch X update at the Proteron LLC Web site. LiteSwitch X 2.1 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$14.95.
