MacHack 2002 Gets Ready To Cook

MacHack 2002 is almost here and this year the popular Macintosh developersi conference plans to borrow a page from a cult-hit cooking show. The conference pays homage to the original Japanese television program, Iron Chef, by introducing a group of Iron Hackers or "Hakku no tetsujin" to do battle in the land of Apple. According to MacHack:

This year, with much flourish, MacHack calls upon the Iron Hackers. These developers of the highest technical prowess do battle for 72-hours each to prove their technical prowess versus their opponents. They come from across the globe to test their skills and vie in the legendary MacHax(tm) Group Best Hack Contest. And should one of these challengers win the coveted Victor A-Trap he will gain the peopleis ovation and fame forever.

This yearis preliminary session list includes such topics as REALbasic custom classes and controls, LEGO MindStorms and Unix tips for MacOS X developers. The complete list can be seen on the MacHack Website.

MacHack 17 takes place from June 20-22 in Dearborn, Michigan. The registration cost is $525 which includes access to all conferences and meals.
