Mac Astronomy Workshop To Be Held In Chicago

T he folks at the self-titled Macintosh Astronomy Workshop I (formerly Macstronomy) organizing committee have announced a Mac astronomy workshop that will be held in Chicago in September of 2005. The group is opening up registration for the event, and looking for volunteers to help. From

The workshop will be held in Chicago on Thursday, September 8th. Registrants can elect to coregister and attend astrofest. Astrofest is one of the largest star parties in the country. This year over 800 people attended. Astrofest will be from September 8, 2005.

We will have an area at Astrofest where Mac-based demonstrations will be held.

While arrangements for Macstronomy I are progressing, we still need more volunteers in order to ensure success. Please feel free to volunteer your time.

Thank you and we hope to see you all at Macintosh Astronomy Workshop I. More information about fees and registration will be forthcoming at the Macstronomy I Web site.

You can find more information on the event at the Macintosh Astronomy Workshop Web site. The site notes that after announcing the event, the name had to be changed to Macintosh Astronomy Workshop because of a trademark on Macstronomy.
