Mariner Software announced on Wednesday a dual product update. MacJournal 5.0.2 corrects image downloading from Blog posts and improved exporting. StoryMill 3.0.1 added a menu option for the new Smart View and added a notes mode to Scene Editor window.
"MacJournal 5.0.2 has been totally redesigned and built for the Mac OS X Leopard operating system. MacJournal allows users to add any kind of content such as: PDFs, QuickTime movies, images, and text. Bloggers can now blog video to their blog in Blogger, WordPress, LiveJournal or even their .Mac account," said Logan Ryan, Director of Marketing.
Simultaneously, Story Mill 3.0.1 also added several new text functions to the Scene Editor and added drag and drop support for scenes.
MacJournal is designed for journaling and Blogging. StoryMill is Marineris software specially designed for writing and publishing a novel.
MacJournal 5.0.2 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and is priced at US$34.95 for the electronic donload or $39.95 for the boxed version. StoryMill 3.01 also requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and is priced at US$44.95 for the download and $49.95 for the boxed version.
