MegaMinesweeper Updated

Carrot Software has updated their rendition of the classic computer puzzle game, MegaMinesweeper, to version 1.7. The new version is compatible with OS 9.1, and is Carbonized to run "natively" in Mac OS X. The new version also allows users to more easily save and open games. According to Carrot Software:

Carrot Software is pleased to announce the latest release of MegaMinesweeper for the Mac OS. MMS is a modern version of minesweeper thatsupports extreme fields sizes, plug-in based themes and sounds, the abilityto save games, and much more.

MMS is a carbonized application designed for OS X Public Beta, or OS8.6/9.x with the CarbonLib 1.2 which is now available publicly from AppleComputer.

Version 1.7 introduces a new storage format that cut the memoryrequirements of each game by half. This means saved games take up half thedisk space, and games are created, opened, and saved much faster.

It also features revamped, and OS X-ified, application and saved gameicons, thanks to Carlos Reyes. MMS now sits pretty on the Dock with theother native icons.

MegaMinesweeper is available for US$10. You can find more information at the Carrot Software Web site.
