Moon Exploration Widget Touches Down

· by · News

Imaginova has released its Moon Exploration Widget. One can view the sky from anywhere on the Moon, for any date, and there are presets for the six Apollo mission sites and their excursion stations.

Each mission site shows a real photographic panorama and the sky as it would have appeared on that date. The user can hover and explore craters and other lunar features.

TMO notes that the sky is shown as it would have appeared to a suitable optical system, simulating a visual view, unaffected by brilliant sunlight or visors -- and not as astronaut cameras and film subsquently showed the lunar sky.

The Moon Exploration Widget is a Universal Binary, free and can be downloaded from Appleis Widget library.
