Mozilla Releases Firefox 3, Beta 2

Mozilla released Firefox 3 Beta 2 on Tuesday for Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows. The new version has over 900 improvements over the previous beta.

According to Mozilla, Firefox 3 is based on the Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform, and version 3 has been re-architected for better performance, stability, correctness, code simplification and sustainability.

The list of changes in Firefox 3 is extensive and focus heavily on security, ease of use, and making it more personal.
