Mandolux has released a new desktop for download. The desktop is an image designed for use as the background on Macs, and represent several different themes including absract imagery. According to Mandolux:

Mandolux has issued this week five new desktops: one Technosis/Anthraxis (Abstract), three Giant Petals (Nature/Roses), and one zenas|closer (Abstract).

About the desktops:

  • The newest Technosis/Anthraxis desktop is titled Desert Road and it is an awesome composition – this abstract work was inspired by sand dunes along a road. It is composed of mainly reds, oranges, and yellows. This is must-download desktop
  • The newest Giant Petals is titled Thora and it is a macro picture of a rose petal. The picture has a lot of soft texture that go well with icons on the desktop. The desktop is available in Giant (1920x1200) and Dual Monitor setups (1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1152x864, and 1024x768)
  • Lastly, there is a new zenas|closer desktop titled Selma. This is a mainly gray desktop composed of a blurry image of a wire. Itis pretty cool to have

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
