New Edition of Mac OS X Best Practices Document Posted

· by · News

A new edition of his Mac OS X Best Practices Document has been released by John DeTroye, an Apple Consulting Engineer, It covers such items as systems management and Tiger, Client and workflow management, account and home directory planning and Tiger client configuration and setup.

The PDF document is 116 pages and, while it is geared to professional Macintosh network and system managers, it has management tips that will likely be of interest to home users who want to learn more about the technical and management side of their Mac OS X system. Itis also an eye opener for those who only view their Mac from the GUI side and have not been keenly aware of the UNIX and management tools available under the hood.

The document is the Final Tiger release -- which suggests that Mr. DeTroye shall continue updating when Leopard is available. The document is available from Mr. DeTroyeis iDisk.
