ROSE LYNN JOINS FACUGiS BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The Florida Association of Computer User Groups, which held their annual Spring Conference this past weekend, has elected Rose Lynn to their Board of Directors. Rose is a past president and current Board Member of Gold Coast Mac and a former member of the Apple User Group Advisory Board. She is the first Macintosh User Group representative to serve on the FACUG Board.
APPLE REGIONAL LIAISON UPDATE: Lynn Poos and Yuan-Yuan Sun have updated their Regional Liaison Report pages. Yuan-Yuan talks about the Hellenic Mac User Group and a problem solved for a customer, and Lynn covers Apple Sales Web, partnering with the APCUG representative in his area, and the Colorado University Macintosh Users Group.
WiredWomen have posted a news clipping about their donation of a Mac system to a local elementary school. If your group works with local schools or organizations, let us know so we can spotlight your efforts.
Apple product manager Zeene Chang, and Apple User Groupsi Garr Reynolds visited HMAUS (Hawaii Mac & Apple Useris Society) February 19 in Honolulu. A lot of people turned out for the presentation which featured Chang talking about the new iMac, iPhoto, and other cool stuff. Apple received a lot of kind "Aloha" from the Honolulu crowd and everyone had a good time. HMAUS meets in the McCoy Pavilion just a few yards off Waikiki Beach.
