NewsFire 1.0 Debuts as New RSS Newsreader

Programmer David Watanabe has released NewsFire 1.0, the final release of the Really Simple Syndication (RSS)-based shareware news reader for Mac OS X.

NewsFire 1.0 offers support for all major syndication formats, a feed discovery interface, user-controlled smart feeds, instant search of local and remote feeds, embedded audio content support, multiple display options, external blog editor support, import/export of feed collections, and support for keyboard navigation and custom shortcuts.

NewsFire costs US$19.99 to register and requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
