No Bones About It: BBEdit 6.5.1 Released

Bare Bones Software has released an upgrade for BBEdit, bringing it to version 6.5.1. BBEdit is an HTML and text editor for Web publishing. The new version boasts several enhancements including use as an external editor for Unix programs on OS X. According to Bare Bones Software:

Bare Bones Software today announced the release and immediate availability of BBEdit 6.5.1, the latest version of the award-winning HTML and text editor for the Macintosh.

New to BBEdit 6.5.1 are language support for Java Server Pages (JSP), and an improved "bbedit" command-line tool, which allows BBEdit to be used as an external editor for Unix programs on Mac OS X. This update also incorporates improvements for running Unix scripts (such as Perl, Python and shell scripts), a scriptable "Preview as Text" command, and a simplified interface for choosing a default Mac OS API reference, as well as an assortment of other enhancements and fixes.
