· by Mike Washlesky · News

Northern Softworks has released an update for Jaguar Cache Cleaner, bringing it to version 1.8. Jaguar Cache Cleaner is a system utility designed for cleaning out corrupted cache data. The update features improved Service menu rebuilding and auto-maintenance. According to Northern Softworks:

Northern Softworks today announced the release of version 1.8 of Jaguar Cache Cleaner, its popular OS X maintenance and utility application.

What is Jaguar Cache Cleaner?

There are times when Jaguar can become plagued with random application crashes (particularly after updating software). There are times when the Internet Preferences seem to get stuck. This usually results in an ability to change the default web browser. Often these problems are a result of corrupted or stale cache data.

Version 1.8 of JCC adds a number of new features and improvements.

JCC can now rebuild the Services menu without the need for a logout or restart. JCC now allows for automated maintenance. JCC will now run specific maintenance tasks at user defined intervals.

You can find more information about the Jaguar Cache Cleaner update at the Northern Softworks Web site. Jaguar Cache Cleaner is available for US$7.95.
