OWC Lowers Prices for Apple-Qualified Mac Pro Memory

Other World Computing (OWC) announced lower prices and immediate availability on Wednesday for their Apple-qualified Mac Pro memory modules. The savings were described as 50% or more compared to factory installed or competitorsi pricing.

The new prices are as follows:

  • 1GB Matched Sets (512MB Module x 2) for as low as $197.25/GB
  • 2GB Matched Sets (1.0GB Module x 2) for as low as $166.13/GB
  • 4GB Matched Sets (2.0GB Module x 2) for as low as $168.69/GB

OWC said that a cash-back rebate of up to $250 per set is also available from OWC for the trade-in of Apple factory memory. Available immediately, the OWC Memory Upgrade Modules consist of matched pairs of FB-DIMM modules manufactured to Appleis stringent Mac Pro specifications, far exceeding JEDEC (the leading developer of solid-state industry standards) specifications.
