· by Kyle D\'Addario · News

The Omni Group has updated their graphing program, OmniGraffle, to beta 5. OmniGraffle allows users to easily create charts and diagrams through a simple interface. The new version contains a number of bug fixes and improvements in preparation for the final version which is expected to be released shortly. According to The Omni Group:

OmniGraffle beta 5 is out, it contains a bunch of bug fixes, and we hope Graffle lovers everywhere will help us make sure itis ready to ship.

OmniGraffle helps you draw beautiful diagrams, family trees, flow charts, org charts, layouts, and (mathematically speaking) any other directed or non-directed graphs. Weive had people use Graffle to plan plotlines for a story, make an overview of an operating system, show the evolution of computers, and even show how diseases can spread in a closed population. If you want to organize your thoughts, your projects, or even your friends graphically using boxes and lines, OmniGraffle is your tool.

New Features

  • Added a "Scale To Fit" button to the page inspector.
  • Added a color well for setting the canvas color.
  • Added a preferences panel for export options. This let you set whether the background is drawn for each export type, and allows control over the JPEG compression

You can find more information at The Omni Group Web site.
