Panic Updates Unison With Improved Text Handling

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Panic has released an update for Unison, bringing it to version 1.0.2. Unison is a utility designed as a Usenet newsreader management solution. The update features improved text handling and error recovery. According to Panic:

Just a quick note to point out that Unison -- our already user-acclaimed Usenet newsreader for Mac OS X -- has been revved to version 1.0.2!

Unison is a fun, powerful, and truly Mac-like application for accessing the discussions, music, images, etc., on the global Usenet network.

Unison 1.0.2 improves the handling of message text when replying, adds better recovery when encountering errors with queued transfers, and adds support for encoded foreign characters in From: and Subject: lines, and more.

You can find more information about the Unison update at the Panic Web site. The Unison update is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$24.95.
