Pepsi Canada is holding a new giveaway with the tantalizing promise of a free iPod "every hour, of every day, for 84 straight days." All told, that adds up to 2,016 iPods the company will be giving away between now and the end of the year. From Pepsiis Web site:
Hold on to your headphones people icause weire giving away a truckload of iPods. To be precise, we intend to put one iPod an hour, every hour, of every day, for 84 straight days, in somebodyis hot little hands!
For those counting at home...Thatis a staggering total of 2016 iPods!!
The contest works like most cola giveaways: There will be a PIN number under winning caps on specially marked bottles of Pepsi, 7-Up, Mountain Dew, MUG Root Beer, and Brisk Iced Tea products. One then takes that PIN number and enters it on Pepsiis Web site to be entered in the giveaway.
Pepsi has put up a fairly cool Flash Web site to promote the contest, where you can find more information, and register your winning caps. That Flash site includes at least one city street with an Apple Store ("4th Avenue"), including the Apple logo.
