QuickerTek Intros Two New Wireless Networking Bundles

QuickerTek on Tuesday introduced a pair of bundles for creating point-to-point and point-to-multi-point wireless networks. The company said in a statement that it put the bundles together "to ease concerns over assembling the exact equipment for creating wireless networks spanning more than a mile." They support 802.11b or 802.11g networks, which Apple calls AirPort and AirPort Extreme, respectively. Theyire not compatible with AirPort Express, however.

The bundles include low-loss 50-foot coax networking cables, AirPort Base Station adaptor cables, a pair of 8.5dbi Omni or 14dbi Directional outdoor antennas, mounting hardware, two one-watt transceivers, power supplies and detailed instructions. The US$999.95 bundle is for use with regular AirPort Base Stations and the $1,109.95 bundle is for use with AirPort Base Stations that have an external antenna port.
