Renewing Your .Mac Account

· by · Tips

If you are like me and find .Mac to be a useful service, youill have to renew it every year. You donit, however, have to pay US$99 to do it. Just pay a visit to your local Apple store - theyill sell you a .Mac activation key for $70 instead.

Once you have your activation key, youill need to renew your account from Appleis Activation page instead of the account renewal page on the .Mac Web site. Just go to http://www.mac.com/activate, enter the activation key code from the front of the .Mac Quick Start guide, and follow the on-screen instructions. Your new code will automatically kick in when your current year expires.

Appleis .Mac Activation key code page.

This is also the Web page you want to use if you are signing up for a new .Mac account with an activation key instead of a credit card.
