Purple Shark Software has updated their screensaver application, Setting Sun, to version 1.6. Setting Sun is a full-featured screensaver providing a variety of attractive 3D effects while also adding password protection on idle machines. According to Purple Shark Software:

Purple Shark Software has released Setting Sun 1.6, a new version of the popular Mac OS screen saver application.

Setting Sun is a modular saver application featuring many 3D plug-ins, designed to produce a pleasing distraction from a blank screen and provide password protection when a machine is idle.

The latest version, 1.6, includes five new faders (Searchlight, Newtonis Cradle, Planet, StarFish, and Flame), implements the floating icon and fading slide show modules found on Mac OS X, improves stability on iMacs, and incorporates many minor bug fixes.

Setting Sun is available for US$20. You can find more information at the Purple Shark Software Web site.
