Sonnet Intros 2-port Gigabit Ethernet Adapters

Sonnet Technologies announced the immediate availability of the Presto Gigabit PCIe Server and Presto Gigabit PCI-X Server network adapter cards for the PowerMac, Mac Pro, and Xserve on Tuesday. Both adapters include two Gigabit Ethernet ports and auto failover protection if a port fails or is disconnected.


Presto Gigabit PCIe

The Presto Gigabit PCIe offers a native PCI Express x4 host bus interface, and the Presto Gigabit PCI-X offers a 64-bit 133MHz PCI-X host bus interface. Both offer full and half duplex support, 1000/100/10Base-T auto negotiation, and support standard CAT-5 cabling.

The network adapter cards priced at US$199.95 each and are available at the Sonnet Technologies Web site.
