Suitcase Fusion 2 Offers Glyph Surfing, More

Extensis announced the immediate availability of Suitcase Fusion 2 on Monday. The new version of the professional font management application added the ability to preview glyphs in a new Glyph View Palette, and supports font auto-activation in InDesign CS4, Illustrator CS4, and QuarkXPress 8.

Version 2 also offers a redesigned user interface, overlaying font previews in documents, keyword-based searches, and Mac OS X 10.5 support. The application also sports a redesigned font matching engine for more accurate font auto-selection, an SQL Lite-based font database, and can auto-activate fonts even when it isnit running.

Suitcase Fusion 2 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. It is priced at US$99.95, and upgrades from Suitcase X1 and newer cost $49.98.
