Sybase Updates ASE From Macworld

Sybase has announced the release of ASE 12.5.1 from the Macworld Expo floor. ASE is a utility designed for database management. The update features new DBA tools and improved system performance. According to Sybase:

Today, Sybase will announce the availability of the latest version of its relational database, ASE 12.5.1, to Mac OS X Panther customers. With ASE 12.5.1, Apple users will be able to deploy database-driven applications that take advantage of one of the most cost-effective data management systems for business-critical computing.

New capabilities in Sybase ASE 12.5.1 include:

  • Self-management Features and New DBA Tools to Reduce Operational Costs
  • Greater System Performance and Scalability
  • Faster, Simpler Application Development
