Thinking Different?  TBWA/Chiat/Day Revamps Apple Ad Staff

· by Kyle D\'Addario · News

Appleis advertising agency, TBWA/Chiat/Day, has announced a major restructuring of their Apple group. Chiat/Day, responsible for the brilliant Think Different campaign, and creators of the Appleis 1984 Super Bowl commercial, still considered by many the best commercial of all time, will continue to handle Appleis advertising needs. AdWeek is reporting that the creative director of the campaign, Ken Segall, will no longer be part of the Apple team.

A reorganization of TBWA/Chiat/Dayis Apple Computer account became apparent Tuesday with the departure of creative director Ken Segall and the promotions of others.

The overall account director, Lee Clow, remains in place. Others previously involved with the Apple account will be taking new positions, but under the direction of Clow the genenral "feel" of the Apple adds is expected to remain the same. AddWeek mentioned other changes:

With Clow still overseeing the Apple account, former group account director James Vincent, who joined the company in March, was recently promoted to worldwide account director for the client and Sean Hardwick, U.S. director, will take over Apple Europe in January.
