Two Apple Executives Leave Company

Two executives have left Apple in recent weeks, C|NET is reporting, including the Mac unitis head of engineering.

Tim Bucher, head of Mac product engineering, left the company on Nov. 15, while Mark Wihelm, vice president of AppleCare, also left recently. No reasons for the departure of either executive were given by Apple, who confirmed the moves to C|NET.

Bucher became head of Mac product engineering earlier this year. Until Apple finds a new leader, Tim Cook, head of Appleis overall sales and operations, has appointed an engineering management team to lead the organization, consisting of the companyis acclaimed designer Jonathan Ive, Bob Mansfield, Dan Riccio, and one other person hired to the electrical-engineering group whose name Apple did not disclose.

Wihelmis replacement is unknown at this time.
