WiebeTech announced Wednesday new additions to its FireWire product line.
The ToughTech 400 and 800 FireWire desktop enclosures, support Hi-Speed USB data transfer speed of up to 480Mbps, and FireWire data transfer speeds of up to 400Mbps or 800Mbps. Prices start at US$79.95 up to $629.95. Configurations range from 120 gigabytes up to 400 gigabytes.
The RackFire features two individual hardware-based FireWire RAIDS, storing up to 1.6 Terabytes in a 1U rack mount enclosure. It has two removable hot-swappable striped RAID drive trays accepting two sets of IDE drives per tray. The RackFire is compatible with Mac OS 10.2.6 or higher, Windows XP and Linux. Price range from US$6999.95 to $2999.95 depending upon the configuration.
All of the new WiebeTech products are available immediately.
