Shares in Apple Inc. hit a new closing record high Monday, ending the day at US$295.36, a gain of $1.29 (+0.44%), on light volume of 15.25 million shares trading hands. This marks the second record closing in a row, as AAPL’s closing price on Friday of $294.07 per share was then a record high.
The stock also hit an intraday high Monday, reaching as high as $297.24 per share before giving back much of the day’s gain in the closing hour of trading.
Apple reports earnings on Monday, October 18th, and investors have recently been cheered by mainstream reports that the company was working on a CDMA iPhone 4 for Verizon that will supposedly be released in the first quarter of 2011.
