AAPL Tops $300 in Premarket Trading

Shares in Apple jumped up over the US$300 mark in premarket trading for the first time Wednesday morning. The company’s stock closed Tuesday evening at $298.54, tantalizingly close to the new milestone price point.

The company has hit new closing highs for the past two days, and has been inching closer to the $300 mark for over a week. Apple’s stock has been on an upward trend for some time, too, thanks to the popularity of the iPhone and iPad, and the resurgence of the Mac lineup.

Apple will be hosting its fourth quarter earnings conference call Monday, October 18, after the stock market closes. The company is expected to report strong Mac, iPhone and iPad sales, and some analysts are projecting record breaking earnings figures yet again.
