Rovio released a Halloween edition of its popular Angry Birds iPhone and iPad game, and now the company says a Christmas edition is on the way, too.

According to the company’s Twitter posts, the Christmas edition has been submitted for App store approval and the developers are hoping it will be available in about a week. The Christmas edition will be a free update for addicts fans that bought the Halloween iPhone and iPad editions. Rovio chose to release the Christmas edition separately to keep under the 20MB limit for cell network downloads.
Angry Birds Christmas Edition will be priced at US$0.99 for the iPhone, and $1.99 for the iPad. It will be available for download at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store soon.
