App Store Tops 100,000 iPad Apps

· by · News

Apple’s App Store now sports more than 100,000 iPad apps, a mark it has achieved in only 453 days since the release of the iPad, as noted by our friends at MacStories. Apple hasn’t yet announced the milestone, but a perusal of the App Store on the iPad showed a current total of 100,271 apps as of this writing.

On June 6th, Apple vice president Scott Forstall announced that the App Store had some 425,000 apps, with 90,000 of them being iPad apps. That means developers have added another 10,000 (plus) apps in just the last 24 days.

In the screenshot below, the pertinent bits of information have been highlighted.
