With the iPhone 5c set to hit store shelves this Friday, Apple is hitting the airwaves with its first commercial showing off the the new smartphone model. The iPhone 5c is Apple's brand new mid-range iPhone model that does away with the familiar glass and metal back for several colors of plastic.
The "Plastic Perfected" ad highlights the new model's design while showing off the various colors of the new back piece. The sides and back are molded from a single piece of plastic and then machined to fit the phone's buttons and ports.
The iPhone 5c includes an Apple designed A6 processor, 8 megapixel camera, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a Lightning connector port, 4-inch Retina Display, and more. It's available for pre-order now and will be in stores on Friday, September 20. Apple is pricing the iPhone 5c starting at US$99 for the 16GB model on a two year contract.
