Apple Fixes Serial Number Bug in Aperture 3.4.3

· by · Product News

Apple released Aperture 3.4.3 on Monday, a minor update to fix a major annoyance for some users. The update fixes, "an issue that could cause a licensed copy of Aperture to prompt for a serial number with each launch."

Some outlets erroneously reported the patch notes for version 3.4.2, which fixed 21 different issues, as the notes for version 3.4.3, but the earlier version was released on November 1st. The new patch addresses just the one issue quoted above.

Aperture is Apple's professional photo management and editing solution for Mac. It competes with Adobe's Lightbox, and is the pro version of the company's consumer iPhoto.

The update is free, and the full version is priced at US$79.99 on the Mac App Store.
