Apple and the News Corporation have sent out invitations to an event on February 2, 2011 to launch The Daily. The event will be at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
The Daily is the widely anticipated electronic Newspaper for the iPad. The grand experiment will determine if a modern digital newspaper with a paid subscription can create a following, successfully compete with the myriad of free news sources and actually make money.
Apple’s Eddy Cue and the News Corporation’s Rupert Murdoch are scheduled to present. Apple’s Seve Jobs is on a medical leave of absence.
