Apple Releases iPhone Configuration Utility 2.2

· by · Product News

Along with iTunes 9.1, Apple released iPhone Configuration Utility 2.2 on Tuesday. The update notes are slim on information, but considering the timing of the update, it likely adds support for the soon to be released iPad.

iPhone Configuration Utility lets network administrators manage settings and applications for iPhone and iPod touch users in corporate environments. It supports creating, maintaining and installing configuration and provisioning profiles, tracking device information and console logs, and more.

The update is available via the Software update application, or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support Web site.
