Apple’s countdown to the 25 billionth app download from the App Store ended late last Friday evening, and now the company has revealed which app hit the milestone mark and who made the purchase.

Download 25 billion was the free version of the Where’s My Water? game, and the app was downloaded by Chunli Fu in Qingdao, China. The lucky winner will receive an iTunes gift card worth US$10,000.

“When we launched the App Store less than four years ago, we never imagined that mobile apps would become the phenomenon they have, or that developers would create such an incredible selection of apps for iOS users,” said Apple senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue.

The App Store currently offers over 550,000 apps for iOS devices and is available in 123 different countries. According to Apple, it has paid out more than $4 billion to developers for app sales.

Considering the App Store’s growth rate, we’ll likely see another milestone countdown before the end of the year.
