Apple began airing its first commercial showing off Siri voice control on the iPhone 4S Thursday night. The ad shows people presenting Siri with a wide range of tasks from scheduling appointments to finding photos of weasels.
Like Apple’s iPad 2 commercials, the new iPhone 4S Siri ad doesn’t mention the product name until the wrap up, and only then states “Say hello to the most amazing iPhone yet.”
Siri is Apple’s new voice control system for the iPhone 4S that lets users speak conversationally when asking their phone to perform tasks or look up information. The feature requires iOS 5, but currently isn’t available on any of Apple’s other mobile devices.
The “Say Hello” ad for the iPhone 4S and Siri is available at Apple’s YouTube Web page.

Very well done.
Does that tune not sound very similar to the one in the Motorola super bowl ad? =)
OK, let me get this . . . Now in addition to people yelling at each other over their cellphones trying to be understood, they will now be yelling at their cellphones trying to be understood. Can’t wait!
Yes it doe a bit. Can someone with more musical training than I comment on the similarities and differences?
Lee, I agree, but I was really impressed with another Siri commercial that had the Ray Charles song “Baby, What I Say” in the background. If you’ve heard it, what was your reaction?especially to the ending?
Class ?n finesse, ibuck, that?s what I say. Charley rocks and Apple knocks me off complacency.
The young blind woman using Siri? I thought that was great!
The considerate among us will still be considerate, the loudmouths will continue as they were before cell phones.
Where in the commercial does it mention (even in fine print) the fact it is a beta and severely limited?
Wow, what a pessimist!! Lighten up!!
