· by · Product News

Apple released iTunes 10.6.1 Wednesday, and update that included four different bug fixes. They range from problems that could result in a crash to syncing issues.

iTunes Update

Apple’s patch notes:

Tunes 10.6.1 provides a number of improvements, including:

  • Fixes several issues that may cause iTunes to unexpectedly quit while playing videos, changing artwork size in Grid view, and syncing photos to devices.
  • Addresses an issue where some iTunes interface elements are incorrectly described by VoiceOver and WindowEyes.
  • Fixes a problem where iTunes may become unresponsive while syncing iPod nano or iPod shuffle.
  • Resolves an ordering problem while browsing TV episodes in your iTunes library on Apple TV.

Apple points to its security KnowledgeBase page for more information on the security content of the update, but as of this writing, iTunes 10.6.1 has not been added to that page.

We are also not yet seeing the update on Apple’s Downloads site, but it should be added later this evening.

You will, however, find it in Software Update, where it is a 64.9MB download in Lion.
