Apple Store Offline

· by · News

Apple's online store was replaced with the familiar "We'll be back soon" notice early Monday morning. The company hadn't announced any new products leading up to the temporary store shut down, although rumors of new iPods and an August 28 release date for Mac OS X 10.6 have been circulating for some time now.

Speculation that Apple is preparing for a surprise announcement began as soon as the store went offline, although the Mac and iPhone maker could simply be performing site maintenance as well. The Mac Observer will be monitoring Apple's Web site for any new products or product changes.
