Apple is finally launching the white version of the iPhone 4 on Thursday, April 28, about nine months after the black version hit store shelves. The white model was originally supposed to launch along side the black version, but was delayed because of production issues.

Rumors about potential release dates have been circulating nearly as long as customers have been waiting for the white model, although Apple did recently confirm a spring release window without naming a specific date.

Earlier this week, reports claimed retailers were receiving white iPhone shipment notices, and that promotional materials were already arriving in stores.

Apple’s Web site still lists only the black model in its online store.

If anyone in the Twin Cities area is looking for a black 32gb iPhone in incredible shape with AppleCare - and is willing to buy a white iPhone 16gb in trade - let me know!  I wants the white one!
