Apple Updates iTunes Terms & Conditions for App Store Volume Pricing

· by · News

Apple updated the iTunes Store’s Terms and Conditions for the U.S. Tuesday. Users that newly logged into the iTunes Store or App Store received the new T&C starting Tuesday afternoon. According to a note in the new T&C, the company condensed the verbiage for the document that users must agree to to enter the iTunes Store, and updated the the App Store Product usage rules.

The primary change we could find involved the inclusion of new Volume Purchase Program rules for use in educational institutes. Apple unveiled the new program earlier in August through the developer program. In the iPhone Dev Center, Apple explained to developers that they could offer volume pricing if they so wished, pricing available only to educational institutions.

The T&C has otherwise been significantly reduced in size. The previous version of the T&C is still available on Apple’s Web site as of this writing.
