Aspyr Bringing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition to Mac, PC

Aspyr Media on Monday announced that this fall it will publish the Mac and PC versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition. The game, which shipped for next-generation consoles as well as mobile devices including the iPhone last year, puts the player in the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice during a story set between the prequel and original trilogies.

The Ultimate Sith Edition adds three new levels, as well as new costumes and characters not seen in the previous version of the game. Players will get the opportunity to explore the ruined Jedi Temple on the city-covered planet Corsucant, where the secret apprentice learns new information about his past and must confront his inner demons.

The added content also features a new storyline, part of Star Wars' alternate "Infinities" continuity, in which the secret apprentice takes Darth Vader's place. The Emperor sends the player to Tatooine to eliminate Obi-Wan Kenobi and to the snow planet Hoth to kill Luke Skywalker and crush the Rebellion. Along the way, players will encounter familiar locales and characters, including Jabba the Hutt's palace and the bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Aspyr has not revealed pricing nor system requirements. A product page is not yet available on the company's Web site.
