David Sims Shoots New iPad Commercials

Popular British photographer David Sims was apparently in New York in October shooting two new commercials for Apple’s iPad. The ads were shot at Pier 59, and the rumor mill claims they are for the second generation iPad, according to 9 to 5 Mac.

Apparently everyone involved with the commercial shoot was required to sign non disclosure agreements, and security at the event was high. The actors were said to be using current model iPads instead of second generation models, and that Apple would have the newer models swapped in during post production.

iPad: New Models Coming Soon?

Apple began selling the iPad in April, and rumors that a second generation model would be released soon cropped up shortly after. The current iPad includes a 9.7-inch multi-touch display, runs most iPhone apps, supports audio and video playback, includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and some models includes 3G wireless data access, too.

There isn’t any official confirmation that Apple was shooting new iPad commercials, or that the ads are for the second generation model. If the rumors prove to be correct, the second generation models will probably looks much like what’s already available.
