iMac Graphics Firmware Update Addresses Stability Issues

Apple released iMac Graphic FW Update 3.0 late on Wednesday to address stability problems on Intel-based iMacs. The slim release notes only state, “This firmware update fixes a graphics issue that may cause an iMac to hang under certain conditions.”

iMac gets a graphics firmware udpateThe update is available for Intel-based iMacs running OS X 10.7 or later and weighs in at 481KB. It is available via the Software Update application on compatible iMacs, or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support website.
