· by · News

Apple's countdown to 10 billion song downloads ended Wednesday afternoon, which means one lucky iTunes Store customer is about to get a US$10,000 iTunes gift certificate.

The Apple Web site and iTunes Store have included an animated counter showing how many songs have been downloaded since the company announced the 10 billion song countdown. To celebrate the 10 billionth download, Apple promised to give away an iTunes Store gift certificate worth $10,000.

The name of the winner, and which song they downloaded hasn't been revealed yet.
