Macworld Expo Organizes Show Info with iMacworld for iPhone

Macworld Expo's iMacworld 2.0 app for the iPhone and iPod touch is available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store in time for the show's February 9 kick-off.

The application includes listings for every conference session, all speakers, and all of the vendors that will be on the expo floor. Users can search for events and products, build custom activities lists, and navigate the Expo floor with the app's built-in show floor map.

Macworld Expo runs from February 9 through February 13, 2009, at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. For additional information about the Expo and events, visit the Macworld Expo Web site.

iMacworld 2.0 is free and available for download at Apple's App Store.

There was another app called Event Info for Macworld 2010. That app does the same and no advertising.

So this (seemingly a mere schedule) is what the state of apps has come to.

By this subscription model, where the “app” is just a slice of a larger body of information—and I am now looking into a likely future reality and projecting into another type of media and into politics—a Rightwinger, for example, could subscribe only to Rightwing newspaper articles, not to the whole newspaper, of a syndicated columnist like Rush Limbaugh, Richard Krauthammer, or Laura Ingram and, in the process, firm up that subscriber’s Rightwing world view. By this method, the Americans are likely to become even more polarized and insular. Same for patriots like Progressives. I get it.
